If it is an outright sale, federal and state income taxes can eat up a large percentage of the proceeds. A dental practice is sold for a variety of reasons: retirement, moving to another city, or even because of health issues. Regardless of the reason, it is critical to consider the tax ramifications of the sale.

It's not enough to provide professional and friendly service to your patients. Your facility must also project a warm and friendly atmosphere. Going to the dentist can be a terrifying experience for even the bravest adults, not to mention children. On a personal note, I was actually more tense during my last visit to the dentist than I was for an eye operation. Your waiting room must be comfortable and interior colors must be soothing. Plenty of magazines tailored to a variety of tastes should be provided. The waiting room should be spacious enough so people don't feel packed in like sardines.
