Power Up Your Cash Flow in 2009 With Invoice Factoring

December 28th, 2008 · No Comments

One of the many advantages of invoice factoring is that it provides your company with much-needed working capital by leveraging an otherwise dormant asset: your accounts receivable.  When you have to wait from 30 to 60 days to get paid by your customers, it has a detrimental impact on your cash flow.

Accounts receivable factoring is the purchase of your A/R at a discount.  In other words, you will receive a cash advance up to 85% of the customer’s invoices.  Those funds are wired directly into your bank account within 24 hours after submission.  The difference between the invoice totals and the amount advanced to you is called the reserve.  This amount is remitted to your company upon collection of the invoice less the factoring fee which is spelled out in the contract.

What could your company do with an immediate inflow of cash?  Would you be able to produce more goods and increase your profits?  Would it help you get through some rough times by paying bills and payroll in a timely manner?
